Temperatures continue to be above average in the D.C. area, limiting snowmaking opportunities at local ski resorts, but skiers and boarders will find acceptable conditions this weekend. Temperatures have been low enough at some western and northern resorts to make snow, but resorts closer to D.C. have been unable to make snow since last weekend. As a result, surface conditoins vary among the open resorts.
This weekend will be packed with events at area resorts. Several resorts are recognizing “Take your daughter to the slopes Day” on Saturday, with significant discounts for moms and daughters. For a complete listing of events, check the DCSki Events Page.
