What’s New for 2001: Whitetail Resort
Author thumbnail By John Sherwood, DCSki Columnist

Whitetail Resort is in the midst of setting and mounting even more tower-mounted snow cannons to Limelight, Lower Angel Drop, and the Base Area. This year marks the second of a three year, multi-million dollar expansion of Whitetails’ snowmaking capabilities.

These improvements will enable Whitetail to produce more snow in a shorter period of time. The snowmaking upgrade will translate into a better skiing and snowboarding experience for everyone who comes to the resort. Whitetail already has outstanding snowmaking capability due in large part to a one million dollar upgrade last year. With this year’s expansion and yet another million dollar investment planned for next year, Whitetail will have one of the most powerful and efficient systems in the East.
