North Carolina’s Sugar Mountain Resort will kick off its 2003-2004 winter season with SugarFest ‘03, a two-day festival. The event, scheduled for December 6 and 7, 2003, will feature demos of the latest ski and snowboard equipment from major manufacturers, a Burton railslide competition, a Kid’s Safety Awareness Poster Contest, ice sculptures, fireworks, a fashion show and music. For more information on the event, contact Sugar Mountain at 828-898-4521.

Sugar Mountain has also made capital improvements to its snowmaking systems, by installing new snowmaking lines in the beginner’s area.
