Old Spruce Properties, operated by Snowshoe Properties Management, LLC, recently became a franchise of RE/MAX, an international network of real estate agents. RE/MAX Old Spruce Properties provides property rentals and sales throughout the Snowshoe, WV region.
“Becoming a RE/MAX office made sense,” explains Old Spruce’s Michael Hughes. “For years, potential buyers at Snowshoe have been hesitant to work with an unknown, rural ‘mom and pop’ real estate company. Now they can work with a familiar name and know what kind of service to expect during their transaction,” he said. Hughes notes that 90% of the company’s clients are real estate savvy, and come from the metro areas.
Recently, real estate prices at area resorts such as Snowshoe have been on the rise. Property values at West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain Resort have reportedly risen 15-25 percent in the past year.
