The Columbia Ski Club doesn’t let a lack of snow get in the way of fun. Founded in 1981, the club’s 450 members keep busy throughout the summer with a host of activities. From roller blading to hiking to country line dancing, the Columbia Ski Club’s summer schedule is packed with near-daily events.

Planning is already well underway for 1999/2000 winter season trips. The club has tentatively planned trips to Killington, Streamboat Springs, Jackson Hole, Park City, Beaver Creek/Vail, Chamomix (France), Verbier or Zermatt (Switzerland), Lake Tahoe, and Whistler.

The Club plans to ring in the new year at Steamboat Springs, Colorado. A trip scheduled from December 27, 1999 through January 3, 2000 (barring any Y2K conflicts!) includes lift tickets, airfare, lodging near the slopes, and numerous Y2K-related parties for $1,490.

The Columbia Ski Club meets the second Monday of each month at the Columbia Hilton Hotel at 7:30 p.m.
