Camelback Resort is planning to push its 2025/26 ski season well into spring, announcing daily skiing and riding through April 12, 2026, followed by weekend operations into the first weekend of May, weather and conditions permitting.
If the schedule holds, it would mark Camelback’s longest season on record. The resort said its previous latest closing date was April 9, 2009.
Camelback attributed the extended season to a combination of late-season natural snowfall and continued snowmaking, allowing the resort to maintain enough coverage for spring operations.
“Offering spring skiing in May is not only huge for Pennsylvania, but also gives New Yorkers and Mid-Atlantic skiers an incredible and closer alternative to the long drive north to Vermont,” said Jason Bays, vice president and general manager of Camelback Resort.
The resort reports snow depths of approximately 30 feet on Cliff Hanger and 20 feet on Nile Mile, with the Stevenson Lift expected to serve designated spring trails during the late-season period.
Camelback also plans to keep snow tubing open daily through April 12.
In addition to on-snow operations, the resort said it will host beach party–themed après events at Trails End Pub & Grille during spring skiing weekends, with music and outdoor festivities scheduled Fridays through Sundays.
Camelback said special spring skiing rates are expected to be announced in March.
