Maryland’s Wisp Resort is expanding its “Ski Free with a B” program this season to include fourth graders throughout the region. The program, previously available only to fourth graders in Garrett County, awards fourth grade students maintaining a B or higher grade average with a free season pass. All fourth graders from Maryland and beyond are now eligible for the program.
“Last season we awarded 43 season passes to Garrett County fourth graders,” said Jerry Geisler, Vice President of Operations and Guest Services at the resort.
“Expanding the ‘Ski Free with a B’ program to all B average fourth-graders visiting Wisp from our neighboring states and counties promotes the importance of education and rewards students for their efforts,” Geisler said. “This program also rewards the parents financially as well as providing an activity for family interaction,” he added.
To receive their free season pass, eligible fourth graders should bring their report card to Guest Services at the resort. For more information on the program, call Wisp at (301) 387-4911.
