What’s New for 2010: Roundtop Mountain Resort
Author thumbnail By M. Scott Smith, DCSki Editor

One of the biggest changes at Roundtop this year is subtle: in recognition of its continuing adoption of year-round activities, Ski Roundtop has changed its name to Roundtop Mountain Resort, following a similar name change made by sister resort Liberty Mountain in 2000.

But a name change won’t be the only difference skiers and boarders see this winter. Roundtop has added some new TechnoAlpin automated snowguns from the top of the Exhibition Chair all the way down Susquehanna.

The Pennsylvania resort has also added a Competition Center at the base of the Exhibition race hill. The base lodge has been redecorated with new carpet and furniture. New cubbies and storage will allow for more seating.

The rental shop has added 300 additional helmets. Roundtop cardholders will also be able to grab rental gear quicker through a computerized system.
