In late December, the Whitetail Ski Co., Inc. welcomed Jonathan ‘Chip’ Vicary as CFO. Vicary is replacing Derek Goodson, who will become CFO at Spring Creek Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Goodson had served as Whitetail’s CFO since the resort’s opening in 1991.

“Derek Goodson’s deep understanding of corporate financing, from internal purchasing to large building projects, has helped Whitetail become well poised for our four-season development,” said Steve Rice, President of Whitetail. “With the arrival of Chip Vicary, we remain confident that the challenging financial tasks ahead are in very good hands,” he added.

Vicary most recently served as Director of Finance for the American Skiing Company, which owns resorts such as Killington and Sugarbush. Vicary has also worked at Maine’s Sunday River Ski Resort and Vermont’s Stratton Mountain Resort.

Vicary has already gained some experience with the Whitetail Ski Resort. While earning his Masters in Business Administration at Pennsylvania State University several years ago, Vicary worked as a weekend auditor at Whitetail.
