Last fall corridor H was completed beyond the Storm Mt power plant to within 9 miles of Davis, WV.  This final section to Davis was partially finished and work began this spring to complete the road to Davis NLT this fall (2016).

Anybody driven it lately or know the current status?

Drove it yesterday.  Almost all finished as they are completing putting up signage and cleaning up a few spots on the birm. Still running fence on the north side.  May be open by Columbus Day.

It isn't open to vehicles, but it is smooth and rides nice!

Any updates to the *other* side of Corridor H i.e. the connection to 66 from DC?  Is that still a pipedream?

Very much so. According to WVDOT: "Final design of this segment through Hardy County is anticipated to begin in 2020. Construction tentatively is scheduled to begin in 2027."

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think VDOT has given it any significant consideration at this point.

It will be open right after human driven cars are banned and all traffic is autonomous self driving vehicles.

Is any of this new (or future) expansion going to change the route to Snowshoe?
