@Marznc: Looks like you were ahead of the curve on this one! Although I am sure the proximity to DC is a big factor in the ranking.

Hmm, wonder if they are only looking at the stand alone houses?  Most of the "owners" at Massanutten have bought into the timeshare units.  But that's pretty different.  Definitely a lot of people from the DC area.  They've been going to Massanutten since the 1970s to get away from the heat in the summer time.  Although the real growth came after the water park was planned, which was in 2003.  My family's first stay at Massanutten happened to be right after they decided how big a water park to build.  Since we already owned timeshare elsewhere and knew how it works, seemed like a good time to get involved.  I have no regrets.
