Snowshoe North.  That's great news for the folks who ski the valley.

It appears the ski resorts are going to start competing with each other for our $$$$.  Competion is a good thing for all of us.

Timberline has better terrain, but a pass for 1/2 the price is hard to turn up.

Hey Tslime - Your move now!!  I wonder if Fred will complain again how CV has an unfair advantage since they are state owned??

I have to give props to Timberline this year.  It appears that Fred is not running the social media campaign, and as a result despite the issues with the lifts, snowmaking and early season shutdown they look on the surface like a professional operation.  This is a sharp contrast to last year when he announced three different opening days, bashed the government and did not understand the difference between private message/ status updates.

Also whomever is answering questions in the snowfunding thread seems to have their shit together.  I look for big things from them next year!

Kudos to Canaan Valley.  AndyGene, no offense but for me the lifts, the snowmaking and the length of season are the three most important elements of a professional operation along with the ski school.  The ski school at TLine is first rate by the way.

Just ordered the wife and I passes for next year. $398 bucks you cannot beat that. Have had season passes at TLine since 2002. I have a funny feeling that season passes for TLine next season may be cheaper as well. We shall see :)

Timberline used to have a cheapo season pass but has allowed the costs to go up on an annual basis.  We used to do them on the cheap for the three of us and I liked it.  Depending on what happens there we may end up doing the same again now that we are close to qualifying for the senior pass.  All depends on events....

I really think that TLine will have a season pass for 2015/16 somewhere around the same price as Canaan. Maybe as a sign of goodwill on part of an outsider......

$75 for March 2015 (till the end) isn't bad at all...especially if the snow keeps up.
