Hi,

I'm looking for ski resort that is accessible with public transporatation, or that there are shuttles to the site itself from other accessible place.

Do you know if there's something like this in the area?

Thanks!!

Not sure there are any of you are talking about a day trip, but where do you live?  Some of the ski clubs in the area run day and weekend bus trips.

I live in maryland.

I thought of 2-3 days in the ski site (not a day trip)

You can take Amtrak from DC to Clifton Forge, VA, and from there the Homestead will pick you up.  Small ski area but nice resort.

Salt Lake City and Denver. I can personally attest to those.

Denver: I stayed at the non-AYH hostel in Boulder and caught the bus from downtown Boulder out to Eldora and back. With an earlier start, it is possible to get the RTD from Denver and make the connection in Boulder. There were swarms of school kids on board, enabling lucky parents to get some R & R. The Ski Train doesn't run anymore, does it?

Salt Lake City: I stayed at the EconoLodge downtown. A city transit bus makes the rounds of downtown SLC and heads out to the Canyons. I took it to Brighton and back. It was my first time ever on skis.

Ahh, good times.

Oh, did you mean around here? I wish.
