Well, couldn't make it back to Mnut before they groomed out the 22 inch dump from March 5-6, but planning to have plenty of fun this weekend, March 9-10. A couple EpicSki fathers with their kids are joining me and my 12yo daughter. She is also looking forward to Sat evening at the waterpark.

If anyone else heads to Mnut, we're meeting at the Kettle Club in the ski lodge at 4:30 on Sat and probably around 9:30am on Sun.

I'll be doing the Senior Clinic on Sun afternoon 1:00-3:00pm. Leaving shortly after that.

Made it to Mnut early enough in the afternoon for a little sliding fun on the snow left on the golf course in the valley. Not quite deep enough for true sledding.

The father & daughter who skied this morning said it was pretty nice until it got too warm. By late afternoon, things were setting up quickly. Sunday morning will be good once things soften up.

Paradice is unusually flat. Before last week's dump, there were whales and other contours based on snowmaking. But clearly the snow will last until closing day mid-March.

The kids at Mnut for the first time thoroughly enjoyed the waterpark in the evening.

A few pics from March 9. Temps got into the 50's, quickly cooled off after the sun went behind the mountain, down to 38 by 6pm.

Just enough snow left in the valley for a little sliding fun

Yes, can ski trees at Mnut ;-)

View from the top, some snow left on rooftops

Was taking care of some stuff on the home front on Saturday, but I'll bet it was a beautiful day to be on the slopes anywhere in the mid-Atlantic. Always loved that view in your third picture.

Sunday was a great spring skiing day, even if a bit too warm for good snow by lunch time. Temps got into the 50's with plenty of sun. But still had a little snow left in the valley and on the ridge. We were with several friends, some regulars at Mnut and others exploring it for the first time. Season pass holders could get a friend a lift ticket for $15. Certainly more people than usual were taking advantage of the late season rates and full coverage.

Rode up the lift with a couple grandparents visiting from NY. They were surprised to hear that normally there is no snow in the trees. ;-)

The Silver Clinic turned into private for me. $30 for 2 hours with Walter, who is a very experienced Level 3 instructor. One of the main reasons I went back for a final weekend. Unbeatable value!

Warm at 9am, never got below 42 overnight

Happy parents with our tween daughters up top. Father and daughter (in red) were new to Mnut. No NASTAR but father and the girls found ways to race for fun on the empty slopes in the morning.

Only tracks in the woods, no people, not worth trying to make new ones any more
