Loc: Lost in the Trees
Date: Friday, July 13
Time: 6-9 PM (times may change a bit closer to the event)
Location: Rock Bottom Brewery, Arlingon, VA (in the Ballston Common Mall)
URL: http://www.rockbottom.com/arlington
Why: Cuz we are derelicts and need practice for our ski tall tales

Rock Bottom is metro accessible, walking distance from the Ballston stop on the Orange Line. It is also just off I-66.

This is a repeat of a successful event last summer. Looks like we have a core group who should be attending again this year. Everyone is welcome.

Let either me or JimK (nominated him as wing man) if you plan on attending, so we can try to reserve enough tablespace in advance.

I'm hoping to make it (luckily, I work in Courthouse), but I don't know what our softball playoff schedule looks like. So, I'm a definite maybe.

Would love to attend but too far to travel for the night. Will you be doing a pre-season GTG at your place again?

Depends on status of my house. Plenty of work to be done inside to support a gang. Some stuff broke.

And

Just found out a 70 foot tree fell into my back yard. Friends staying there cuz they lost power. Bad mojo in DC right now. I'll deal with it on Tuesday.

Big thunderstorm on Fri night. Knocked out power to 1.5 mil people in DC metro area. I still have no power at home on Monday. 95-100 deg temps don't help either. Had an all you could eat BBQ grill-fest of meat from freezer over the weekend at my house. tired
At least when there is a power outage like this in winter it usually means we get a bunch of snow with it!

PS: hope to hit Rock Bottom on Friday the 13th grin
