Ha, you scooped me. I won't be there, it'll cost too much in lost wages. Too bad it's not Saturday.

Kudos to 7S.

I'm not a Bob Nutting fan but I must give credit when it's due. If not for a meeting today, I would have gone up just to say I did it.

I hope they have a nice turn out.

Watch the 7Springs site video about today's skiing. Then click on the web cam and check out the slope and lift line.
Sure looks like mid-winter...congrats to 7Springs for pulling off an advertising coup, to skiers/boarders delight!

Who went? I am jealous! What fun!

Lots of pics on the Seven Springs FB Page. National coverage on TV yesterday morning, front page of the Washington Post today . . . definitely a good day for the marketing folks.

A Baltimore meteorologist drove up to Seven Springs early Mon morning, arrived around 9:30am, measured the snow, took some video, did a little reporting, and drove home. He brought some snow home for his sons. Now that's a snow lover!

Here's the scoop on how they managed to get open for today. There is also a video of his arrival at Seven Springs.
"But after a burst of heavy snow in the afternoon, the Director of Ski Patrol Dick Barron thought it was worth a try. The crew sent a groomer up one of the trails, and the snow held. After a few test runs, the race was on to round up enough people to work the chair lifts, patrol, and grooming. They did it."
