Liberty Mountain Resort

Close-to-home, plenty of slopeside amenities, numerous mountain and lodge improvements, tons of skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing opportunities. Join us at Liberty Mountain Resort this winter season for the perfect mountain getaway! Plan an overnight stay, one-day "snowcation" or weekend getaway with the whole family. Stay in our slopeside Liberty Hotel and enjoy meals at our various eateries, including McKee's Tavern and the newly improved bakery. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing on our over 100 acres of skiable terrain. Our mountain includes 16 trails, 5 quad chairlifts, 3 terrain parks, and a large snow tubing hill. Our Ski and Snowboard Schools offer a wide variety of lessons and programs for all ability levels, and specialize in first timers to the sport. Unsure about skiing or snowboarding? Give snow tubing at try at the Boulder Ridge Lodge! Featuring 15 tubing lanes, a special kiddie tubing area for those ages 2-4, party rooms, an outdoor deck, and food and beverage in the beautiful lodge, Boulder Ridge Snow Tubing creates a fun winter atmosphere for everyone. During your visit, be sure to check out our latest resort upgrades - new quad chairlift on the backside of the mountain, Alpine Room redesign, new lift station area at the First Class Area quad, and the exciting addition to the terrain parks. Best of all, we've added more computerized and automated snowmaking so we will be able to make more of the fluffy white stuff faster, and more efficiently. We will be whiter and "greener" at the same time!

They did it. My boyhood heroes, the Boston Bruins, won the Stanley Cup. The original Black and Gold team BTW.

"I believe Vancouver would have won in say 5 games if not for the hit on Horton. That clearly galvanized the Bruins to beat a team with better speed and skill. After that the Bruins were relentless. laugh laugh IMHO Vancouver dishonored the game."

My daughter has 3 boys, 2 with solstice birthdays. The oldest is 14 today and the youngest will be 8 on the winter solstice. We all like to think of this as a good omen. There is probably some Druid ancestry there somewhere.

Tomorrow the days start getting shorter. Can snow be far behind? (Don't answer that question.) eek

It's really raining out there right now. Hoping ski areas aren't losing too much base....

Winter brews: is anybody else a fan of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale? I love the stuff.

They make it only at this time of year and sell it for a reasonable price.
