Close-to-home, plenty of slopeside amenities, numerous mountain and lodge improvements, tons of skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing opportunities. Join us at Liberty Mountain Resort this winter season for the perfect mountain getaway! Plan an overnight stay, one-day "snowcation" or weekend getaway with the whole family. Stay in our slopeside Liberty Hotel and enjoy meals at our various eateries, including McKee's Tavern and the newly improved bakery. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing on our over 100 acres of skiable terrain. Our mountain includes 16 trails, 5 quad chairlifts, 3 terrain parks, and a large snow tubing hill. Our Ski and Snowboard Schools offer a wide variety of lessons and programs for all ability levels, and specialize in first timers to the sport. Unsure about skiing or snowboarding? Give snow tubing at try at the Boulder Ridge Lodge! Featuring 15 tubing lanes, a special kiddie tubing area for those ages 2-4, party rooms, an outdoor deck, and food and beverage in the beautiful lodge, Boulder Ridge Snow Tubing creates a fun winter atmosphere for everyone. During your visit, be sure to check out our latest resort upgrades - new quad chairlift on the backside of the mountain, Alpine Room redesign, new lift station area at the First Class Area quad, and the exciting addition to the terrain parks. Best of all, we've added more computerized and automated snowmaking so we will be able to make more of the fluffy white stuff faster, and more efficiently. We will be whiter and "greener" at the same time!

First, let me appologize for any part i've had to play in hijacked threads, JohnL, jb714, hockeydave and i'm sure there've been others.

Second, let me say that in most cases, El Loco Diablo (tromano), started it, i couldn't help myself........the devil made me do it , but i accept my share of the blame for any trips down off topic lane i've encouraged.

anyway......here's a topic that cannot be hijacked.....heather if you want to post a pic of your 10 year old in his MM ears, MSM tshirt and cutoffs, go for it! POWPOW if u have anymore pictures from my family album, post em up. Anyone want to talk about mass transit, emmint domain, Honda Elements or, heaven forbid, something related to skiing , this is the place for U.

If you've been lurking out there, here's ur shot to come in from the cold, feel the Power of DCSki! (and please stay on topic )

This is it... the forum to end all forums. The MOTHER of all forums. Post what you want; by its very definition this thread cannot be hijacked, even by the most eminent-domain crazed hybrid driving county official in West Virginia!

While we're off topic, I have a real concern that needs to be addressed. This is serious here folks: why, in all of our discussions of Moonshine Mountain, have we yet to mention bourbon, whiskey, scotch, or other hard liquors of less-legal varieties from the great states of Tennessee and Virginia? What's up with all this beer talk? How can we call a place MOONSHINE Mountain and not have some mash on hand???

Is it December yet?

An unpost for the untopic....sort of like an undoing of the less unsociable underlings in the unseason's ski underground. I like it! Unless...we understand, it would be unkind to the great undertaker. In this instance, Jimmy!

Wow, I don't know why, but all of a sudden I had the urge to discuss the effect cow pies have on global warming. Any clues?

Jimmy: Awesome idea....suddenly I feel as if I've broken free from the tyrannical chains of topic-based Forum threads.

Maybe we could come up with a more catchy name than 'Untopic'....perhaps The Frosted Mug.....or Foggy Goggle II....

I must hand it to you Jimmy. The untopic is a pure stroke of genius. Something in line with ambitions of the great pre-commercialized internet utopian thinkers. A subculture within a subculture. An anarcho-syndicalist-commune sort-of. A global-collaborative experiment in performance art. I'm running out of long, multisyllabic, obtuse metaphors for this thread - but that won't stop me from going on-and-on. Afterall, it is an untopic; therefore, nothing is off-topic, inappropriate, or off-message. There is no message, and that is the beauty, and genius (oops, said that already) of this thread, concept, idea, movement, initiative. Perhaps initiative is too strong a word. Afterall, an untopic really can't be an initiative. An initiative implies direction, goals, organization, yes - structure and focus. That would be very un- untopical. I must stop before I run anymore circles around myself. I wish it was snowing or at least 5PM so I could go home.
