Liberty Mountain Resort

Close-to-home, plenty of slopeside amenities, numerous mountain and lodge improvements, tons of skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing opportunities. Join us at Liberty Mountain Resort this winter season for the perfect mountain getaway! Plan an overnight stay, one-day "snowcation" or weekend getaway with the whole family. Stay in our slopeside Liberty Hotel and enjoy meals at our various eateries, including McKee's Tavern and the newly improved bakery. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing on our over 100 acres of skiable terrain. Our mountain includes 16 trails, 5 quad chairlifts, 3 terrain parks, and a large snow tubing hill. Our Ski and Snowboard Schools offer a wide variety of lessons and programs for all ability levels, and specialize in first timers to the sport. Unsure about skiing or snowboarding? Give snow tubing at try at the Boulder Ridge Lodge! Featuring 15 tubing lanes, a special kiddie tubing area for those ages 2-4, party rooms, an outdoor deck, and food and beverage in the beautiful lodge, Boulder Ridge Snow Tubing creates a fun winter atmosphere for everyone. During your visit, be sure to check out our latest resort upgrades - new quad chairlift on the backside of the mountain, Alpine Room redesign, new lift station area at the First Class Area quad, and the exciting addition to the terrain parks. Best of all, we've added more computerized and automated snowmaking so we will be able to make more of the fluffy white stuff faster, and more efficiently. We will be whiter and "greener" at the same time!

Murphy, can we trust a guy who's trying to tell us that Alta is in West Virginia?

Hey now, I never claimed that there were ski resorts off of that exit.

Take a look near the bottom of this:

But this Alta exit leads you to Alderson... Isn't that where the new Martha Stewart statue is supposed to be built?

So there's a jail in Alderson?

About 2 miles from the base of the mountain. I think they ran shuttles from the prison 3 times a day for inmate recreation. Martha really was able to fine tune her bump technique during her stint behind bars.....

Chirp? Chirp?

That's the sound of the crickets outside my house and at this site. The summer doldrums are on.

So... has anyone tried the new Hazed and Infused beer out of Boulder? That stuff is the bomb!

For the love of all things good and righteous, someone post something or by golly I'm gonna challenge Snowsmith to an internet-televised wrestling match in peak oil.
