Fact - Whitetail has started their 9 million dollars expansion of the main base lodge. It will offer expanded seating, brick oven pizza and a full service restaurant. The expansion will replace the Windows side of the base lodge and create a U-shape lodge when completed. It is a bold statement in the wake of this past season's weather and late start. Anyone else heard of improvements for the off-season for other resorts?

Snowtime has also recently invested heavily in new facilities at Liberty. I have always been impressed how they reinvest in their resorts. The other resort owners in the area could learn a few things from Snowtime.

Well the link isn't an April fool's joke, but I think that has been listed as planned for a few years now. I took a look at wayback.com though and the only cached version they had was Aug 28,2012 and it is not in that version. However, if they were really doing that I suspect they would have been advertising it.

Snow dome talked about an indoor hill at roundtop but I think it was posted on April 1st. I hope this would be true but I doubt it is:(

Whitetail might get some  SMI puma snowguns as they where demoing one last year and seemed to really like it. I also would put money on roundtop getting some new sufag guns

At our HOA meeting a few weeks ago we were told no capital improvements were scheduled for this offseason.

Does anyone know if Liberty is still planning on replacing the J-Bar with a triple chair this summer?  It's still on the website...

Jay Peak's got more than just SEC trouble.  Their tram failed incpection and needs $5m in repairs before it can run again.

The man in charge of the money got approval for the Jay tram needs.  That means contracts can be signed to do what is needed.  But no clear idea when the state will allow the tram to run.  The summer season is in jeopardy for sure.

Whitetail posted some images on facebook of the de-tensioned and cut cable on the HSQ, cable is being replaced.

Seems to be a lot going on there this summer!

Timberline has an overdue electric bill of $145,000.00.  There is a public hearing on the matter with the WV Public Service commission August 17, 1pm at Canaan Valley Resort.  IT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Speaking of sewage...I noticed Snowshoe had laid some new large pipes just below skidder, etc.  My initial thoughts were improved snow-making capacity but that excitement faded when I found it's for the new waste-water treatment plant that's under construction.  Hey, it's improvements!

On May 23,2016, the Commission ordered Timberline Four Seasons Utilities, Inc. (TFSU) and Timberline Four Seasons Resort Management Company, Inc. (TFRM) to pay all future current bills associated with six electric accounts that are subject to this proceeding.

Sewage is involved, very bad owners indeed.
