Post em here folks. Unfortunately, it looks pretty ugly through the New Year. I think status could change day to day.

Add HV to the list - 6 slopes and trails from top to bottom along with groomed wet granular conditions.

I can't believe the ticket prices on the 7S and HV websites $60 and $44 ..... and based on what I witnessed last weekend at SS, people will pay it and like it!

Appalachain, Beech, and Sugar are all open today. 55 degrees and pounding rain big time.  Odds are by Saturday they will all be washouts though.

Great to look at Snowshoe web cams and see folks sking and multiple lifts running!!!  I thought they had shut down due to weather. Assuming they can hang in through next Thursday then there is a multi day cold snap coming with predicted well below freezing temperatures, and assuming multiple trusted forecasters are correct, they should transition to real winter.  Snow showers are forecast from Thursday to Sunday!!!

Snowshoe stayed open for this weekend through Sun afternoon.  Not planning on opening up again until there is snowmaking temps later this week.  Put special activities in place for those already there for the week: "off-slope activities through the holidays including golf, art classes, MTB tours, whiskey tastings, holiday activities and more!"

Ordinarily this would be the day I was looking at web cams and ticket prices to plot my best course of action to get in a few laps before returning to work after New Years but miss some of the holiday rush madness at the local resorts.  All are Christmas Break destinations for everyone from Florida to St Louis that don't want to pay western resort travel costs.  This year I don't have that problem. We'll instead be looking at indoor ice rinks and trampoline parks to pass the time at over the break.. So disappointed :-(.

Timberline is open! We opened at mid-station this morning and are expecting some snowmaking temps toward the end of the week. Here's a link to our snow report: http://timberlineresort.com/snowreport.asp

Here's a video from this morning so you get an idea what the slopes look like: https://www.facebook.com/162195150518076/videos/950139745056942/

We also have lots of activities planned this week for adults and families. Check the top banner on our website for a full events list and holiday rates (reduced due to weather/snow conditions): http://timberlineresort.com/

Drove into Deep Creek this evening (to the liquor store) and it was terrible to see not even a light on over at Wisp. Sad news around these parts...

I called Canaan Valley today and they mentioned that they were hoping to make snow tonight but may not be open this weekend.

So looks like 7 springs might be getting the cold a little bit earlier than the WV resorts the way this is coming in. Looks like they might be able to start snow making tomorrow night and go mostly non stop through the weekend and continuing nightly for the foreseeable future. Snowshoe looks like sometime early Thursday morning maybe and great temps through most of the weekend. This is the forecast that would've been nice a month ago...

Now Snowtime resorts...i'm hoping to see liberty and roundtop open early next week (or Sunday...probably a stretch) with whitetail just slightly behind.

Hopefully there will finally be options by Sunday....

Hang on sloppy, slushy hang on!   Folks, warm and rain is back.  Let's hope some more really good rounds of cold and snow to keep the resorts open and skiable for as long as possible.

Wintergreen was outstanding today. Spring bumps on Outer Limits, not slushy at all. It does look like 60 degree temps and rain over the next few days but then back to overnight below freezing temps. Hopefully WTG will continue to run the snowguns whenever they can.
