they are calling for rain, but am going to go anyway. Might do a few runs Saturday AM too. If anyone's around Friday  and wants to grab a beer, let me know.

Would love to, but there is no way I can swing a second trip out there this week. Have fun and let us know how it goes. You might see some fresh Saturday AM.

One forecast is calling for some decent snow.  I hope they are right and you get lucky!  Actually, I think the rain on Friday will probably speed the snow up, then it is supposed to be below freezing Friday night, so with a groom, conditions should stay good Saturday.  I wish I could be there.

Picking mine up! Thinking I will hang and ski at least half day Saturday if it snows.

It wasn't bad. Just needed to stay on the white. I even found a few bumps on widow maker, but you had to watch for bare spots in trenches.

I remember back in the 80s when Ballhooter would get nicely bumped up in late spring and there would be a guy dispensing free beer from a keg to anyone who skied a good line of bumps.  It was a lot of fun, and self limiting since performance tended to go down with beers consumed.  I suspect that liability concerns shut that down a long time ago.  Come to think of it, the keeper of the keg may not have been a resort employee. :)

Actually, I had a couple beers at lunch before I found the bumps. I could feel them a little :).

Knot bumper was closed. Top of slope was bare. There was a small patch that would have let you get to rest of slope, but didn't think poaching that was worth losing my pass on the first day I used it :).

Was the cut over to knot bumper near the top of ballhooter not open?

Hey, that pic of the park is me (top, knees way too bent), my gf (yellow jkt), and her kids! Thanks, bumps!  We are here through Sunday, breaking in our passes.

Today was pretty sweet, got soft after lunch, though. Lots of laps on Shays and Cupp in the AM.  The little 10ft wide spot on Shays made a nice do-or-die target.  We thought Sawmill and 99 were better yesterday morning than today.  Bluebird setting up for tomorrow!

Only upper hootenanny. That side of ball hooter was bear toward trees. If a cutover was open I missed it.

They did open knot bumper Sunday, via the cutover- the straight dropin was bare. Definitely ego bumps- very fun.

We came off Ballhooter lift Sunday at 4:29:XX, ski patrol was pulling the rope across Grabhammer- they smiled and let us and another group under one last time.  Best run of the day, great way to close the season.
