I remember driving past this ski slope several times as a kid.  My father was likely looking at a buying a house in either the poconos, northwestern NJ, or upstae NY.

It was a tiny mountain, maybe 3-6 runs. The ski slope was "upside down"  the parking lot and lodge were all at the top of the "mountain"  you would essentially take your first run of the day from the top of the mountain, and your last activity of the day would have been a ride on the chair lift back to the top and the parking lot.

At the bottom was just the chair lift base, and maybe a lake or a road.

Any thoughts on where this was? what its name was?  did it exist? does it still?

Wintergreen and Blue Knob are also upside down resorts.

When I started reading your post, my first thought was that sounds exactly like Tanglwood- I grew up there and spent years skiing there before moving away- I posted some of my comments on the lost ski area page.

I have some ya glow memorabilia but just visit pocono trail maps. How big (or small) was tanglewood?
