The rain totals are off the chart too here.  No really HOT days, just warmer in general though and WETTER.  I've never seen so much foliage as we had here mid summer.  It's like all the bushes and trees were pumping steroids.  I'm not as quick to dismiss the sciece favored by the UN and IPCC as our new and current legislative majority is.  But, I'm also not convinced the models are as good as they could be.  Too many variables and too many non linear dependiencies.  I don't think any of them could possibly predict what it will be like in 100 years within much worthwhile accuracy.  But I'd rather error on the side of caution and act like things are getting worse instead of ignoring the possibility that things going to be very bad if we don't treat mother earth a lot better.  Way more lo lose if we act like everything is fine when it isn't than to act like chicken little and have things turn out to be OK.
