Sharing this email from Bob Leffler:  (fyi, it snowed this very same weekend in 2011 and caused a lot of tree damage to the hardwoods that still had their leaves)  We have hit low 30's a few times already early last week so gloves and hats have already been out and wood stove fired.

"Your Fearless Canaan Weatherman is alive and well and ready to forecast the white stuff after the cool summer... I'm back!.  Hope your doing well.

Time to get the mittens and coats out for the weekend as the first real fall-like shot of cold air streams in over the WV high country Friday into Sunday.

Not buying public forecasts calling for highs in the 50's and low's in the 30's Saturday and Sunday over Tucker Co. WV.  I see highs only in the upper 30's and low 40's above 3,000 ft. with lows in the 20's Sunday morning.  Some wet snow flakes are possible above 3,000 ft. Saturday as the cold air works in on gusty winds and rain and snow showers.  Elevations above 4,000 ft. could see the ground whitened for brief periods.

Enjoy your first taste of winter!

Your Fearless Canaan Weatherman"
