Looks like they still call for a cold and snowy winter. I have to admit that I did not read the entire article.

Well, the final winter forecast from firsthand weather is in. They're still prediciting cold and snowy for the east.

The best news of the forecast is much wetter than normal for California -- they sure can use it.

Bob, hate to be a downer (but I will), any meteorlogist who says they can predict weather more than 72 hours in advance is a bold face fabricator, although I'll give them props on predicting temperature trends for a week or so in advance. As evidence, the NOAA hurricane predictions for the past 2 seasons have been dead wrong. I would suggest a random spin of a chuck-a-luck wheel would yield equal or better results for predicting long range weather.

If you want a fairly accurate prediction of the upcoming winter weather, refer to the Old Farmers Almanac. Way more credible.

Well Dave, I am just being an optimist and am trying to pump up the east coast crowd.

Besides, NC ski areas opening on 11/2 and this weeks weather maybe says that the forecast is right -- maybe not. Time will tell.
