We had a great time at the DCSki/EpicSki Gathering at Timberline/Canaan  Valley this past weekend 2/21-24/14.  There were about 30 different participants sharing turns at various times over the course of four days of skiing.  Friday was fast and firm after a big meltdown earlier in the week.  Sat and Sun were classic early spring ski days with all slopes open, plenty of sunshine and high temps about 40F.  We missed the deep powder and open glade skiing by a week, but you can't have everything.  AND, the gathering stragglers that woke up in The Valley on Monday morning did ski about 4-5" of dust on crust.  I think you can call that deep dust;-)
