Shawnee Mountain has added a new Tubing Carpet lift, a new Snow Cat, and expanded its Rental Shop, fortifying its standing as one of the largest ski and snowboard rental facilities in the U.S.

The Pocono Plunge Snow Tubing Park will see the addition of a second 450-foot long carpet lift. The new SunKid Carpet Conveyor Lift replaces an older handle tow lift, and will be located alongside Shawnee’s existing Tubing Carpet Lift. According to Shawnee, the positioning of the new carpet lift will allow for up to two additional tubing chutes, bringing the total to seven at full capacity.

Shawnee Mountain has also purchased a new Piston Bully Snow Cat, complete with flex tiller groomer. The Pennsylvania ski area grooms 125 skiable acres each night.

The Shawnee Rental Shop has been designated as a Premier Flow Go Riding Center, offering the latest technology in rental equipment. According to the resort, Flow equipment is fast to set up, durable, and performs at a high level. Shawnee purchased 1,000 new pairs of Flow Snowboard Boot and Binding system units, as well as over 300 pairs of new Elan Skis with Salomon bindings and 170 new Carrera and Burton rental helmets.
